Our Virtual Intensive Outpatient Program (VIOP) delivers the same evidence-based addiction treatment as our in-person IOP — but through a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform you can access from anywhere. You work with the same licensed clinicians (LPCs, LCSWs, and LCDCs) who lead our on-site groups, using the same curriculum. The only difference is you log in from home instead of driving to our Killeen facility.

At Virtue Recovery Killeen, our VIOP runs 3 days per week, 3 hours per session. Each session combines group therapy, individual counseling check-ins, and psychoeducation — covering CBT, DBT, Seeking Safety, SMART Recovery, and relapse prevention. You get real-time interaction with your therapist and peers, not pre-recorded videos.

Who VIOP Is Built For
Virtual IOP is ideal for people who have completed residential treatment and returned home, active-duty military stationed at or near Fort Cavazos, working professionals who cannot take time off for in-person sessions, and residents of rural Central Texas communities where driving to Killeen multiple times per week is not practical. If you have a private space and a reliable internet connection, you can participate fully.
Insurance and TRICARE Coverage
Most major insurance plans cover virtual IOP at the same rate as in-person IOP, including TRICARE. Our admissions team verifies your benefits before treatment begins so you know exactly what to expect. There is no difference in clinical quality — and many insurers now prefer telehealth options for outpatient-level care.
